How do I find language exchange friends?
Set your learning languages and interests on NEON, check a profile and send a call or chat request. Language exchange starts when the other person accepts.
Look at languages as well as interests
A profile can show the languages someone speaks, the languages they are learning and their interests. If you want to practice Korean or Japanese, check the language information rather than relying on a country flag. A shared interest gives you a useful first topic.
From a profile to a conversation
Open Start matching on the home screen and choose a voice call or chat. Review the profile and send a request. When the other person accepts, you can begin. Next shows another profile; profiles you skip are not shown again in the same browsing session.
Allow space for the other person to respond
A request is an invitation, not an immediate connection. An offline recipient receives a notification. Country, age and gender filters are optional features that use Stars. Choosing a country cannot guarantee an available partner or an instant connection.
Start small and keep it mutual
Ask about a song, a meal or a place connected to the other person’s interests. Share your own answer too. Voice rooms and chat offer other ways to meet people if a one-to-one call feels like a big first step.
