How do voice calls and translated chat work?

Choose a call or chat in Start matching, send a request and wait for acceptance. During a conversation, choose call subtitles or translate individual chat messages when needed.

A call follows profile → request → acceptance

Open Start matching, choose a call and check the other person’s profile. Tap the call button to send a request. Audio connection starts after acceptance. Allow microphone access, check volume and confirm which speaker or headset you are using.

Use call subtitles as a conversation aid

The call screen has subtitle controls for the supported language options. Subtitles and translation can help you follow a conversation, but noise and pronunciation can affect the result. Ask the speaker to repeat anything unclear.

Translate only the messages you need

After a chat request is accepted, type in the conversation screen. Select Translate on a foreign-language message. Keep the original in view and ask your friend about an expression you want to learn.

Chat history belongs in the conversation

Individual random-matching chat messages do not send notifications. Personal chat uses push notifications without creating a separate app-inbox entry for each message. Open the conversation to read the message history.

  1. Set your languages and interests

Add the language you speak and the languages you want to practice to your profile.

  2. Choose a voice call or chat

Open Start matching, check a profile and send a call or chat request.

  3. Talk after the request is accepted

An online recipient sees the request screen. Your conversation starts after acceptance.
